Football, despite its beauty and flair, is a fiercely competitive and physically intense sport. Players constantly battle for possession, leading to moments of aggression and heated exchanges. To keep the game as fair as possible, yellow and red cards were introduced. A red card means you are sent off and get suspended for 1-3 games, depending on why the red card was brandished. You can either get a direct red card or accumulate two yellow cards, which are then converted into a red card. However, red cards are not handed out easily, so the balance of the game can be maintained. This article talks about footballers who have picked up the most red cards in a single season.
