Manchester United Hit With Huge Injury Crisis

Manchester United has not had the best of seasons in the Premier League this year. In fact, they are in a shocking 15th position in the Premier League as of now after a 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in Gameweek 25. Ruben Amorim has not had a very good start at the club, and many expect his time at Manchester United to worsen even further after the club was hit with a series of injuries, which will see some crucial players stay on the sidelines for a long amount of time. This article talks about the Manchester United players who are currently injured and what this means for the club as well as the manager.

List Of Manchester United’s Recent Injuries

Amad Diallo

Amad Diallo picked up a serious ankle injury while training for the Tottenham Hotspur game. This injury has ruled him out for the entirety of the 2024/25 season, which will come as a massive blow for Manchester United. In a season full of frustration, Amad Diallo’s performances were one of the only positives for Manchester United fans. However, he has now been ruled out for the rest of the season, and United fans will have to wait until next season to witness him in action again.

Manuel Ugarte

Manuel Ugarte is another Manchester United star who was ruled out of action just before the game against the Tottenham Hotspur. Ugarte picked up a knock ahead of the game against Tottenham Hotspur on 16th February 2025. While Ugarte’s injury is a small knock, it will still rule him out for multiple games. He is expected to make a complete recovery by the start of March, ideally making his return sometime between the FA Cup 5th round game against Fulham and the game against Arsenal.

Kobbie Mainoo

Kobbie Mainoo is the third Manchester United midfielder who was injured ahead of the game against Tottenham Hotspur. Mainoo picked up a thigh injury that would rule him out for around six weeks. This is another big blow for Manchester United, and given the number of injuries in the midfield, it is going to become very hard for United to navigate through this situation. Mainoo is set to miss at least six games for United, including a crucial game against Arsenal. He is expected to return after the international break and will be ready to play again by April 2025.

Lisandro Martinez

Lisandro Martinez is another Manchester United star who has been ruled out for the rest of the season. The Argentine defender faced Crystal Palace on 2nd February 2025, but his game ended prematurely when he picked up an injury in the 82nd minute. Martinez tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL), one of the worst injuries a footballer can pick up. He underwent surgery and will be out of action for a very long time. Martinez has been ruled out not just till the end of the current season but even for the start of the next one, with his return date expected to be somewhere around January 2026.
