Manchester City has been having a surprisingly poor season despite having a good start. While Manchester City looked quite good and decent at the start of the season, they went through a run of spectacularly bad form, which has completely derailed their season. However, it looks like City has now managed to get over this bump and can start working towards salvaging this season to the best of their ability. While it may be a little too little and a little too late, City will concentrate on winning their future games and get the best possible result from the rest of the season. This article talks about Manchester City finally managing to get their season back on track.

Manchester City managed to win consecutive games for the first time since 26th October 2024. After their 1-0 win against Southampton, Manchester City went on a run of games which can only be described as horrific. In the 13 games that followed the win against Southampton, Manchester City managed to win just one game, which came against Nottingham Forest on 5th December 2024. This is quite likely the worst run of form in City’s recent history, and a club that has only been winning as of late finally experienced the other side of football.
After a series of bad games, the Cityzens players seem to have gotten back in form, with Brazilian youngster Savinho being at the forefront. He has led the charge in helping City turn their season around. Manchester City’s star striker, Erling Haaland, has also regained form and scored three goals in the two games. Haaland had started the season very strong, scoring 10 goals in his first five Premier League games. However, he went on a goal drought when Manchester City needed him the most and was unable to step up.

While it is not Erling Haaland’s role alone to score for City and make them win, when he is in form, it surely eases the pressure on the rest of the team. While question marks have been asked of the striker, the Norwegian would be questioning the service he has received and would blame this lack of service for his goal drought. While either of these could be the source of the problem, the one silver lining is that Manchester City seems to have overcome this bump and will now look forward to taking apart teams, as they have been doing over the past few years.

While the Citizens’ recent victories brought a sigh of relief, the road ahead remains steep. The Premier League and other competitions will continue to test their mettle throughout the season, particularly when City face other formidable teams vying for glory. However, with a revitalised spirit and a newly forged purpose, Manchester City seemed poised to embark on a positive trajectory. Football’s ebb and flow never fails to surprise, and there’s no denying that City’s fall from grace only sets the stage for a more riveting comeback.
As the squad prepared for future challenges, one thing is certain: Manchester City is back and is hungry for success. The club is united in purpose and ready to reclaim its place among the elite of English football. The losses Manchester City have suffered this season still serve as a reminder for the club that even when they are at the top of the game, bad form in football is never too far away, and City need to make sure that their concentration remains absolute no matter who they are playing against and how well they have played in the past.
