LPL 2023 Auction: List Of Unsold Players In The Lanka Premier League: The date for the auction of the Lanka Premier League 2023 has been officially announced by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). The T20 competition has garnered interest from more than 500 players who have already signed up to join. The auction is set to take place on 14th June 2023.

The fourth edition of the upcoming T20 league is scheduled to take place from 31st July to 22nd August 2023. This league will feature five teams: the Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Aura, Jaffna Kings, Kandy Falcons, and Galle Gladiators.

Prior to the auction, certain well-known players, such as Babar Azam and Shakib al-Hasan, had already been signed for a three-year term. Each of the five franchises participating in the auction will have a spending budget of $500,000 (₹4+Crore).

At the conclusion of the season, franchise owners will have the option to retain or release players through mutual consent. Furthermore, a specific time frame will be allocated for franchises to engage in player trading activities, although the LPL has yet to finalize the specifics of this process.

INDIAN PLAYER TO FEATURE IN LANKA PREMIER LEAGUE 2023

Suresh Raina, a seasoned cricketer from India and a former player of the Chennai Super Kings, has reportedly registered for the 2023 auction of the Lanka Premier League (LPL). He has shown keen interest in participating in the tournament, which is scheduled from 30th July to 20th August 2023, and has set a starting bid of USD 50,000 (₹41+ Lakh).

Although he declared his retirement from cricket in September 2022, Raina still participated in the Abu Dhabi T10 2023 tournament and provided commentary for the Indian Premier League 2023 season. Fernando, a tall left-arm pacer, was also sold to Dambulla Aura for the same price.
