Plymouth Argyle managed to score against them, while the Reds were unable to do so, which meant that Plymouth Argyle ended up winning the game by a goal to nil. They were able to do so, thanks to a penalty awarded to them in the 53rd minute of the game after Harvey Elliot handled the ball in the penalty area. Ryan Hardie ended up converting this penalty to give Liverpool a 1-0 lead, something from which the Reds failed to recover and ended up losing the game.
