Kuldeep Yadav has opened on his struggles after he lost his spot in the national side. However, the left-arm wrist spinner has gone onto claim how that he is not afraid of failures anymore and is currently enjoying his time on the field, coming back to action after a prolonged injury lay-off. Playing for the India ‘A’ side against New Zealand ‘A’ in the second unofficial ODI, Kuldeep Yadav registered a four-wicket haul which included a hat-trick on Sunday.

The 27-year-old spoke with the media after the game and revealed how difficult he found to cope with the injury. He said, “I did not know how to cope with not getting enough game time. After the injury layoff of 4 months, I realized that I need to bowl quicker and began working on it. I am not afraid of failures now.”
“When you fail, you learn. When I came back to the Indian side in January. I was not afraid of failure, I wanted to enjoy the game. My focus is to keep hitting the good lengths. (Getting) wickets is not in my hands just want to bowl in good areas,” Kuldeep Yadav added.
The Uttar Pradesh based cricketer, who made a come back after a long injury lay off. He had undergone a surgery on his knee in September 2021, citing the injury affected hum during the IPL. Kuldeep Yadav was named as a part of the three-ODI series against West Indies.

Speaking about his return ,Yadav said, “To be honest, when I got injured, coming back from there, understanding my rhythm was very important. After surgery, I have changed that rhythm, bowling with more effort and more control.”
Later, he was included to be a part of the T20I squad that took on South Africa at home in June. However, he suffered another injury while batting and had to miss the tournament against the Proteas. After rehabilitation, Kuldeep Yadav played a T20I against West Indies and the ODI series against Zimbabwe.
The UP based spinner has claimed that, “Then coming back, I’m playing red ball, I played 2 games here in the first game also the control was beautiful. I am very happy. When you keep playing, you learn. You want to play more games but that could not happen.”
“I actually didn’t know how to cope up with it. The injury was lucky for me. I could understand my body and on comeback, began thinking about my rhythm. It is challenging but you have to see the other part as well…It is always tough playing for India,” he concluded.
