KL Rahul Set To Return To Delhi Capitals Next Game

KL Rahul was one of the biggest talking points ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. He was eventually picked by the Delhi Capitals in the auction. Indian fans were very excited to see how Rahul would fare for the Delhi Capitals and if he would be able to turn around his recent fortune. However, this will have to wait a little bit as KL Rahul was ruled out of the Delhi Capitals’ season opener as he was expecting the birth of his first child with his wife, Athiya Shetty. KL Rahul, however, is reportedly ready to make his Delhi Capitals debut and will now feature for them in DC’s second game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

KL Rahul missed Delhi Capitals’ IPL 2025 opener against the Lucknow Super Giants due to the birth of his first child. He was blessed with a daughter on 24th March, something which was confirmed by both KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty. However, the Indian star is now set to return to the starting line-up and make his Delhi Capitals debut against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on 30th March. This is very exciting news, not only for Delhi Capitals fans but also for all cricket fans, as everyone is excited to see how Rahul will fare for his new team and if he can turn back time to his peak days in the Indian Premier League while representing the Delhi Capitals.

The reason why so many fans are excited to see how Rahul performs in the 2025 Indian Premier League is due to his recent performances. He finally seems to be enjoying cricket once again and has also been showing emotion on the field. While KL Rahul has not been a part of India’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad as of late, during the tournament in Dubai, KL Rahul stated that he was aiming to reclaim his place in the T20I line-up and wanted to help the Indian cricket team while playing as an all-format player.

While some fans are concerned about KL Rahul’s match fitness and whether he will be prepared to jump straight into a match, it has been reported that before joining the Delhi Capitals camp in Visakhapatnam, Rahul trained in Mumbai under Abhishek Nayar, India’s assistant coach. While he could not join DC for their first match, the Indian star clearly wanted to maintain his form so that once he became available, he would be able to join the Delhi Capitals at a moment’s notice. DC faced SRH in their second game and hopes to keep their win streak going. This will be DC’s first home game, and they hope to win their first home game with a bang.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad is one of the most dominant teams this season, and DC will be extremely pleased to welcome KL Rahul back before this game. The Indian star has shown his class in the past, and his addition to the starting line-up will be a huge plus. While KL Rahul will want to start his DC career by putting in a good performance and helping his team win, it will surely be a tough task, given that his debut will come against SRH.  No one can guarantee what will happen in the game, and only time will tell if KL Rahul will be able to impress the Delhi Capitals fans in his very first game for them.
