Premier League club Chelsea signed the defender on 16th July 2022 but ended up staying with them for just one season. He played for the English club in the 2022/23 season but decided to join Saudi Pro League side A Hilal ahead of the 2023/24 season. He has since played for them and currently has a very lucrative contract.
