Justin Langer Is In Talks To Become The Lucknow Super Giants Head Coach: There are reports from Cricbuzz stating that Justin Langer is being considered for the position of head coach of the IPL team Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), following the departure of Andy Flower. It is said that talks with the renowned former Australian cricketer and coach are currently underway, with several meetings having taken place thus far.
Langer oversaw Australia’s victory in the 2021 T20 World Cup and led the Perth Scorchers to three Big Bash League championship victories in the first four years. Despite his successful coaching career, the 52-year-old is not currently involved in any coaching assignments.

If the discussions prove successful, the former coach of the Australian national team across all formats will take over from Zimbabwe’s Andy Flower, whose two-year deal with LSG ended with the IPL 2023.
LSG made it to the playoffs in two consecutive years while under Flower’s guidance. It’s worth mentioning that the Lucknow team and the Gujarat Titans were both introduced in the 2021 season of the IPL.
According to the report, the KL Rahul-led side is expected to retain bowling coach Morne Morkel, spin bowling coach Pravin Tambe, assistant coach Vijay Dahiya, and fielding coach Jonty Rhodes.
LSG has witnessed remarkable performances by Ravi Bishnoi under Tambe’s guidance, while Morkel has also coached Avesh Khan and Mark Wood to put up impressive shows. Additionally, the team’s overall fielding has been consistently good in the past two seasons.
There are anticipated changes in coaching for IPL teams that have not been able to meet expectations in the league. However, despite finishing seventh in the previous season, the Kolkata Knight Riders are expected to keep their present system under the guidance of Chandrakant Pandit, according to media reports.
