Is Ravindra Jadeja On His Was Out Of Chennai Super Kings?

Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is reportedly said to have parted ways with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The 33-year-old has been a regular player for the four-time champions but is now set to leave the Chennai based franchise.

According to various reports, Jadeja is rumored to look at deals on offer from other franchises while also planning to get himself named in the trade window. However, there has not been an official confirmation on the same, despite rumors circulating in the media circles for quite some time.

What happened between Ravindra Jadeja and CSK?

Reports of Ravindra Jadeja’s tenure at CSK coming to an end started floating after the conclusion of the IPL in May 2022. The Indian all-rounder is reported to have broken ties with the IPL team and the CSK management after the previous edition.

The 31-year-old was also seen opting to avoid participation in any CSK activities while also keeping his IPL franchise in the dark during his rehabilitation phase at NCA before rejoining the Indian team following the conclusion of IPL 2022.

Ravindra Jadeja was handed the captaincy reigns of CSK at the start of the tournament. However, the added responsibility affected the all-rounders game as he faced heavy trouble with the bat and the ball.  The 31-year-old was also seen struggling to get going in the field with CSK losing six of the eight games under his leadership. He was dismissed as the CSK captain because of the team’s poor performance with the franchise reinstating MS Dhoni as the skipper of the 4-time IPL winners.

After losing the CSK captaincy, Ravindra Jadeja suffered a rib injury that forced him to miss out on the rest of the Indian Premier League 2022 season. Since then, the Indian all-rounder is said to be on loggerheads with the franchise. Jadeja’s actions fueled the fire as the 31-year-old deleted all of his Instagram posts related to the franchise over the past two years. He was also not a part of the CSK video that the franchise shared during MS Dhoni’s birthday.

Citing the current situation, it seems highly unlikely that Ravindra Jadeja will don the CSK jersey once again.. He is now expected to meetup with the CSK officials, and the senior management in order to find a way out. A formal proposal from another IPL franchise in the trading window seems to be the best solution for Jadeja right now. It remains interesting to see which team managed to secure the ace Indian all-rounder’s services for the upcoming IPL seasons.
