IPL 2024: New Head Coaches Of Franchises Ahead Of the Upcoming Season

IPL 2024: New Head Coaches Of IPL Franchises Ahead of the Upcoming Season: The IPL teams are not in any way inclined to lag behind the competition. The Cash Rich League is scheduled to start on 22nd March 2024, and end on 19th May 2024. Few franchise have already geared up their step up by replacing the Head Coaches of the squad, and few are likely to do the same in the coming times in order to avoid any complications and enable players to compete in this high-profile competition without feeling overburdened.

Right now, RCB, SRH, and LSG have changed their pillar line, and it is predicted that they will make all possible adjustments in their management line in the future days to make their team powerful and battling in nature. Let’s see who is named Head Coach of the three teams mentioned above.

Andy Flower

Andy Flower has been named the new head coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s men’s side for the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL). Flower replaces Sanjay Bangar, who led the team until the 2023 IPL, during which they failed to make it to the playoffs for the first time in four seasons. In addition to Bangar, the franchise has also decided not to renew the contract of Mike Hesson, who previously served as the Director of Cricket Operations, following an internal review conducted after the previous season.

Daniel Vettori

The head coach position for SunRisers Hyderabad has been filled by former New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2024 season, as announced by SRH on 7th August 2023, Monday, through their social media platforms.

After a disappointing season in the 2023 tournament, SRH decided to part ways with Brian Lara despite having a strong lineup. As for Daniel Vettori, he has previous experience coaching Royal Challengers Bangalore and currently serves as the spin bowling coach for the Australian team.

Justin Langer

In July, the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) declared that Justin Langer, the former Australian opener, will be taking over as the head coach, replacing Andy Flower.

The future of team mentor Gautam Gambhir is uncertain due to the recent development. Additionally, Langer has past experience coaching the Australian team, having taken over after the well-known ball-tampering scandal during the Cape Town Test against South Africa in 2018.

Langer, known for his powerful Test cricket combination with Matthew Hayden, took over as the Australian team’s coach in May 2018.

Under Langer’s leadership, the Australian team achieved impressive victories, including a 4-0 win over England in the Ashes series and their first-ever T20 World Cup win in 2021. Additionally, Langer’s guidance led the Perth Scorchers to three Big Bash League (BBL) titles.
