The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is here with the flagship cricket competition set to return on 31st March 2023. The IPL 2023 opening ceremony is also scheduled to take place ahead of the first match between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. Apart from the jaw-dropping cricketing spectacle, fans are also eager for the electrifying performances during the grand opening ceremony. As per reports, quite a few Bollywood celebrities are expected to light the stage on fire.
According to various sources, the IPL 2023 opening ceremony promises to be eye catching affair filled with breathtaking visual extravaganza. Celebrities like Tiger Shroff, Arijit Singh, Rashmika Mandanna Katrina Kaif, and Tamannah Bhatia are likely to perform in IPL 2023 opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony will begin at 6:30 PM IST, just before the tournament’s first match between the Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. The ceremony is expected to be grand, with high-energy performances and stunning visuals. The Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad, which is amongst the biggest cricket stadium in the world is the venue for the event.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that IPL 2023 will see the resumption of the home and away format. All teams are divided into two groups of five teams each with every side set to play 14 league-stage matches. The 16th edition of IPL will see every franchise play seven home and away matches over 52 days before we head into the playoffs.
Following the group stages, the top two teams move on to lock horns in the first playoff, wherein the winner qualifies for the final! The loser, on the other hand, would get another opportunity to reach final where he plays the winner of the Eliminator.
