The upcoming Indian Premier League auction provides the ten franchises an opportunity to rebuild their squads ahead of the upcoming season. All teams participating in this cash-rich league have already begun preparations and are looking to sort out their squads for next year’s edition.
Franchises will have to share the names of players retained and released from their respective squads soon, with the deadline approaching fast. According to reports, all teams will have to submit the list of released players and finalize the player pool by 15th November.
For the upcoming IPL 2023 mini auction, every side is granted an additional sum of Rs 5 crore, which takes the overall purse value to Rs 95 crore ahead of the next edition. The additional five crores can be used alongside the amount left from every franchise’s previous auction purse that took place earlier. Teams can also increase the purse value by releasing a contracted player.
