The 17th edition of IPL is set to start on 22nd March 2024. IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal has confirmed that the entire IPL 2024 will be played in India despite the dates clashing with the Lok Sabha elections. Dhumal confirmed that the tournament will start on 22nd March. The exact dates of the first 21 games of the Indian Premier League are mentioned below.

The release of the Indian Premier League schedule is a very big thing in India. Indians all around the country have been waiting for this moment. The Indian Premier League schedule was released on 22nd February 2024. This, however, is not the complete schedule. The remainder of the schedule will be released at a later date once the Lok Sabha election dates are finalised.
IPL Chairman, Arun Dhumal, said:
“We are looking at a March 22 start for the tournament. We are working closely with the government agencies, and we will first release the initial schedule. The entire tournament will be held in India.”
The Lok Sabha dates are set to be released sometime in the second week of March. The entire IPL 2024 schedule will likely be announced only after the election dates are set. Assurance was given to the Indian fans that the tournament will take place in India and this seems to have worked its magic. Fans all around the country are already extremely excited for the tournament to kick off. The schedule for the first 21 matches is already out.
