Former Indian team captain Virat Kohli is in the news for his off-field antics as the 33-year-old recently passed a controversial comment in his post-match conference after the India-Pakistan Super 4 clash. He has now gone on to prolong the saga with his latest cryptic post.

Indian cricketers have not shied away from expressing their thoughts on social media. They often use their large fan following to speak their mind and let the world know what they think. Virat Kohli

The former Indian skipper has brewed up another controversy with his recent post on social media. He has stirred up the Test captaincy related incident once again which saw him state that MS Dhoni was the only player who checked in on him when he stepped down from captaincy in the longest format of the game.

Kohli shared a cryptic post on Instagram ahead of the India-Sri Lanka Asia Cup clash which seems related to the earlier comment. His story read as, “Notice the people who are happy for your happiness, and sad for your sadness. They’re the ones who deserve special places in your heart.”

The 2011 World Cup winner’s latest remark has added fuel to the fire creating dividing opinions amongst various people. Many Indian cricket fans seem to believe that the comments and the Instagram post are related to some behind-the-scenes issues.

Yuzvendra Chahal 

The 31-year-old spinner had posted a cryptic story on Instagram in August 2022 which read as ‘New life loading.’ It left the fans wondering what was happening in the leggie lives as there was no caption on the picture. Cricket fans assumed that the player and his wife were expecting their first child.

There was no confirmation from the cricketer or his partner. On the other hand, many fans believed that the couple had marriage problems after Dhanashree Verma dropped ‘Chahal’ from her Instagram bio. However, After tons of rumours Chahal’s wife cleared up the issue.

Rishabh Pant

Back in August 2022, Pant had shared a philosophical quote on his social media. The 24-year-old posted a saying on his Instagram story that read as, “Don’t stress over what you cannot control.” Before this post, the middle order batter had also deleted a Instagram story which made headlines.  

The story was assumed to be Pant’s reaction after a famous Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela passed an explosive remark about the Indian cricketer in an interview.  The wicketkeeper also did not keep quiet and was seen sharing his side of the incident with posts on his Instagram stories, leaving fans baffled on how things panned out.
