India vs South Africa 2022: 2nd T20 Live Updates

Hello and welcome to the live updates of the upcoming India vs South Africa 2nd T20 clash. The Men in Blue will head into the game with a lot of confidence after registering a massive win over the Proteas in the first T20I game. After a solid outing  at Thiruvananthapuram, the 2nd T20I will see both teams square off in Guwahati on 2nd October.

INDIA VS SOUTH AFRICA 1st T20I Summary 

India rode on an excellent start by Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar in the previous outing. The duo swung the ball both ways to kill the game in the first innings. Chahar gave the hosts a flying start by getting rid of SA skipper Temba Bavuma in the first over.

Later, Singh continued that momentum and took three big wickets of Quinton de Kock, Rilee Rossouw, and David Miller in the next over. Tristan Stubbs was also sent packing on a golden duck by Chahar with South Africa struggling on just 9/5 in just 2.3 overs. However, the likes of Aiden Markram, Wayne Parnell and Keshav Maharaj manage to save the innings and help the visitors post 106 on board at the end of 20 overs.

In response, KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav steadied India’s innings after the Men in Blue lost the quick wickets of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The duo managed to stitch up a match-winning partnership and score their respective half centuries in the process to help the team register an eight-wicket win in the India vs South Africa T20I series.

While Sharma and co will look to wrap the series, the Proteas will be aiming to bounce back in the India vs South Africa 2nd T20I. Both the teams are later scheduled to lock horns in the third and final T20I in Indore on 4th October before moving onto the ODIs.
