3 close encounters see Men in Blue edge out Australia to walk away with the trophy. Both the teams have managed to tick some boxes and will be eager to get going in at teh ICC t20 World Cup, next month. While Australia hosts West Indies and England, The Men in Blue square off against South Africa in a 3-match series starting with the first game at Thiruvananthapuram. Thank you for joining in on our live coverage of the series. Hope you enjoyed it!
The 35 year old said, “It’s a special place. We have had great memories playing for India and when I played for Deccan Chargers as well. Biggest positive was different individuals stepping up and delivering. You feel good about it as a management. Margin of error in T20s is small. We took our chances, we were brave as well. Sometime it doesn’t come off. There are areas to improve as well. Not easy coming back after a break against a tough team. They (Bumrah and Harshal) will take some time. Hopefully they can get back into their groove in the next series.”
Speaking on his performances, the all rounder claimed, “When you do well and the team wins the series, it feels great. I try to back myself with the line and lengths I bowl and even if the batter takes me on I back myself.”
PLAYER OF THE SERIES: AXAR PATEL

He said, “In that situation I thought let me take my chance. I had two three shots in mind but I tried to hit over mid-off only. My mindset is pretty clear. Loving it at No. 4. There will be tough challenge but you got to express yourself and been a little smart as well.”
Aaron Finch, “Really good series. The way we fought back was fantastic. Really with a young player like Green have such an impact. We had to get wickets, can’t beat India by containing. At times we were sloppy with bat and ball, but playing a tight series like this against a World Class side is going to keep the guys in good stead. I loved the way he took the game on with his ultra-aggressive approach.”
Virat Kohli,” That’s why I’m batting at 3, giving the experience to the team (at that position). Surya was batting really well, I turned around to the dug-out, KL and Ro both asked me to continue batting (and bat for a long time), he has the game to bat under any condition (on SKY), he batted beautifully in the Asia Cup. He’s striking the ball well, this is the best I have seen him for the past 6 months or so. He’s got the gift of timing and I was in awe watching him play his shots. He was trying to control my scoring rate, so I was standing outside leg and trying to use that off-side area.”
“I was a tad disappointed at having taken a single after a six, but it was an important strike (on that first-ball six in the 20th over). We were a tad disappointed at not having kept our required rate to around 4-5 runs for the last over, so it was important to get a boundary early on. I’m happy with my contribution to the team, I took a break, went back to the nets, worked hard on my fitness and think it’s coming off well. I want to keep contributing and doing my best for the team, ” he added. \

That's when you really miss Jaddu at point position. That was an easy catch. 😞#IndVsAus #RavindraJadeja #Axar

Axar is bowling good in india but t20 world cup cannot be won with poor fielding and dropping easy catches.

Finch- “We would have fielded as well, it looks like a good wicket though. We always want to perform against the best sides, in that sense this is a very important game for us. The crowds in India have always been amazing, regardless of where they play. One change for us. Josh Inglis comes in place of Sean Abbott.”
Rohit Sharma- “We will bowl first. It’s good to be back in Hyderabad and play in front of this crowd. We look to keep winning games, it’s important to maintain your momentum in this format of the game, so it was a good win for us (in Nagpur). Australia have always been challenging, they bring in a different kind of challenge. We need to keep doing the basics right if we have to get success. The last win helped us gain confidence and I hope everyone steps up today. One change for us – Bhuvi is back, Rishabh misses out, we needed only 4 bowlers in the last game, so he (Bhuvneshwar) unfortunately missed out. “
The veteran speedster makes is back in the playing XI after he was dropped from the team for the second game. He has played in Hyderabad with his IPL franchise and his experience could prove handy for the hosts.

Citing the the forecast in Hyderabad, India could look to rope in Bhuvneshwar Kumar back in the team with Ashwin also likely to get the nod ahead of Chahal. Australia, on the other end, could look to play the extra batter in the series decider.
Following a 8-over per side thriller, Rohit Sharma will be eager to keep on his positive momentum going in the final T20I. The skippers’ return to form will be a positive side for the Men in Blue.
Hello and welcome to the live coverage of third and final T20I India vs Australia clash. Both the teams are tied 1-1 with the hosts making a strong come back into the series. After losing out the first game of the series by a narrow margin in Mohali, the Men in Blue bounced back at Nagpur.
They rode on the performances of Axar Patel with the ball once again with team captain Rohit Sharma getting the job done with the bat. He was well supported by Dinesh Karthik at the end with the wicket keeper smashed 10 runs off 2 balls to seal the game.
India vs. Australia 2022- 3rd T20 Live Updates: After thrashing Australia in the 2nd T20Is in Nagpur, Rohit and co are all set to seal the series in the 3rd T20I. Both sides will face each other in the series decider on 25th September 2022, at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
The squad performed well against Australia in the 2nd T20. However, with Jasprit Bumrah coming back into the squad, there was no difference in team India’s depth over form. Team India is leaking runs in depth over, and I guess it’s high time to find an alternate rather than relying on Harshal Patel.
The 2nd T20I was indeed a Rohit Sharma show, and it was all because of his exceptional batting; India was able to win the game and level the series.
