The Indian cricket team is all set to feature at the Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia in October. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has stated that every team is set to play 2 warm-up games before the start of the event. ICC has shared the warm-up schedule for all 16 nations which will see the Rohit Sharma led Team take on New Zealand before going head-to-head against Australia in their warm-up clash.
The men in Blue are all set to square off against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 23 during the Super-12 stage. They are set to play white ball series against Australia and South Africa before flying down to Australia for the T20 World Cup where they play the warm up matches before the tournament.
Both the games are scheduled to be played at the Gabba with the matches set to be solid match practice for the Men in Blue against such top teams. The Rohit Sharma-led side set to take on the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 finalists and winners ahead of their World Cup campaign. While the match against Aaron Finch is scheduled for 17 October, the match against Kane Williamson’s team will be played a few days later.

Teams like India, that have already qualified to play the Super 12 round will play their warm-up games on 17 and 19 while the main tournament begins with Sri Lanka playing Namibia on 16th October. England and Australia are named in Group 1 and will look to be amongst the two teams that make it to the semi-finals of the ICC event. India, on the other hand, will have to platy the likes of South Africa and Bangladesh and Pakistan in the league stage.
They will be eager to square off against the top teams and go on to make a strong statement by qualifying for the final four of the ICC event. The semi-finals of the ICC t20 World Cup are dated to be played on 9th and 10th November with the highly anticipated final scheduled to be played after a two-day gap.
