The Hardik Pandya-led India side broke a plethora of records while registering their series win against Ireland on Tuesday. The Men in Blue went on to register a white wash, beating Ireland twice in their 2-match T20I series at Dublin. After opting to bat, India went on to create a bizarre record in the second half of their innings.
India’s batting started off with Ishan Kishan walking back in the hut after scoring just three runs. His opening partner, Sanju Samson hit his maiden half-century in T20I’s. The Rajasthan Royals captain scored 77 runs in 42 balls, hitting 9 fours and 4 sixes.

Samson built highest ever partnership for Men in Blue in T20 format with Deepak Hooda, who scored up his first ever century in T20Is. His knock of 104 from 57 balls saw him score nine fours and six maximums. Hooda had earlier scored an unbeaten 47 during the first T20I and was given the Player-of-the-Match and series awards.
The Men in Blues’ scorecard was cruising with three overs left as they amassed 212 runs while losing the wicket of Hooda on the last ball of the 17th over. What followed the Men in Blue was a bizarre display of middle order batting as India registered three golden ducks in a T20I for the first time in history.
The likes of Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel and Harshal Patel walked back to the pavilion without troubling the scoring charts. The trio was dismissed for golden ducks with Craig Young claiming the wickets of Kartik and Axar on consecutive deliveries and Harshal falling victim to Mark Adair.
Moving onto India’s bowling, the visitors manage to restrict the Irish batters with the hosts falling short by just four runs. The final over of the second and the final match saw Ireland needing 17 runs needed off the last over. They managed to get going bringing the equation down to eight off the final three deliveries. However, Umar Malik managed to hold onto his nerve and help his team go over the line.
