The International Cricket Council (ICC) released its latest rankings that saw Babar Azam break Virat Kohli’s record. The Pakistan captain now owns the record of being the highest ranked batter in T20I cricket for the longest period of time.
Azam retained his position at the top of the ICC T20 batting rankings. It sees him having spent 1030 days at the top of the ICC T20I ranking table. Kohli held the previous record with the India star finding himself to be the No.1 ranked T20I batter for 1013 days.
