PCB used to be one of the best cricketing boards back then, the board had introduced world-class bowlers to the world, but looking at the current PCB situation, it’s hard to say how far Azam can go. Under Sarfaraz Ahmed, Pakistan won its first Champions Trophy after defeating India in 2017. Sarfaraz was indeed a good player. I agree that his performance was not up to the mark, but it’s okay. He should have been given more opportunities, as he had a bad patch! Who knew under Sarfaraz’s leadership Pakistan would have won more ICC trophies?

In my opinion, Babar Azam, until his last breath, needs to be in the same form to represent Pakistan. PCB may not back him in his bad patch.
