He has participated in six World Cups between 1992 and 2011 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time. Tendulkar has played in more than 40 World Cup matches and has scored over 2,000 runs. He was also awarded Man of the Series in the 2003 World Cup, where he scored 673 runs in 11 matches—the highest run tally ever achieved by a batsman in a single Cricket World Cup

Rohit Sharma 

In the 2019 Cricket World Cup, Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain, emerged as the top scorer with a total of 648 runs in nine matches and an outstanding average of 81. He achieved five centuries and one half-century during the tournament, with his highest score of 140 runs coming in just 113 balls against Pakistan. Interestingly, Sharma holds the record for scoring the most centuries by any batsman in a single World Cup.

Matthew Hayden

Matthew Hayden, a former Australian opener, displayed an outstanding performance in the 2007 ODI World Cup, accumulating a total of 659 runs in 11 matches with an impressive average of 73.22. He achieved three centuries and one half-century, with his highest score of 143 being recorded against the West Indies in the quarter-final.

Tillakaratne Dilshan

Tillakaratne Dilshan, a former Sri Lankan opener, had an outstanding performance in the 2011 World Cup, accumulating a total run score of 500 in nine matches with an impressive average of 62.50. Dilshan managed to score two centuries and two half-centuries throughout the tournament, with his most remarkable feat being against Zimbabwe, where he scored a whopping 144 runs off 131 balls.

Martin Guptill

During the 2015 Cricket World Cup, Martin Guptill of New Zealand emerged as the top scorer with a remarkable total of 547 runs in nine matches, averaging 68.37. He achieved two centuries and one half-century during the tournament, and his highest score of 237 against the West Indies was the highest individual score of the entire event.
