Chasing a target in cricket, especially in One Day Internationals (ODIs), is one of the most mentally demanding aspects of the game. Setting a score gives teams the freedom to bat without scoreboard pressure, and chasing requires not just skill but immense psychological resilience. Big chases are particularly tough in ODIs because the margin for error is minimal. Early wickets can derail plans, required run rates can spiral, and the weight of expectation can paralyse even the most seasoned players. This article talks about the 10 highest scores that have been successfully chased down in ODI history.
