Mohamed Salah is one of the biggest footballers in the world. His contract will expire in the summer of 2025. The Egyptian signed his latest deal with Liverpool on 1st July 2022, which will keep him at the club until the end of the season. He currently earns a salary of around £350,000/Week, which could be one of the reasons he has not been offered a new deal yet. It will be very interesting to see where Salah goes if Liverpool decides not to extend his contract.

Kevin De Bryne is the highest-paid player in the English Premier League. His current contract with Manchester City was signed on 7th April 2021 and will keep him at the club until the end of the season. He earns around £400,000/week currently, which can be one reason a new deal has been delayed. There have been rumours that De Bruyne may go to the Saudi Pro League when his contract expires, and only time will tell whether he stays in the Premier League or moves to Saudi Arabia.

Lionel Messi has been at Inter Miami since 2023. As Major League Soccer (MLS) follows a different timeline than other leagues worldwide, his contract expires on 31st December 2025. He earns just over £175,000/week at his new club and reportedly has an option to extend it for another year. However, if this option is not triggered, his contract will end at the end of 2025, and he will be free to move to any club he desires.

Neymar Jr. is one of the highest-paid players in the world. The Brazilian forward reportedly makes over £1.6 million per week. He signed this contract with Al-Hilal on 15th August 2023, and it extends until the end of this season. Virgil van Dijk is the third and last Liverpool player on this list. It looks like the club has left it until the end to give three of its superstars a new contract. Davies is one of the best left-backs in the world and is just 23 years old. Bayern Munich will certainly not want the defender to leave for free.
