Brian Lara’s performance against Bangladesh in Dhaka on 9th October 1999 was nothing short of spectacular. In a display of sheer power and precision, he scored a century in just 45 balls, finishing with a score of 117. While his innings included just four sixes, his staggering 18 fours showcased his ability to dominate the game. This became one of the fastest centuries ever.

The wicket-keeper batsman scored the century in just 44 balls, making it one of the fastest centuries ever. He ended his innings with a score of 147, including 10 sixes and eight fours.

Asif Khan played a fantastic innings for UAE against Nepal on 16th March 2023. This game took place in Kirtipur, Nepal. He scored a century in just 41 balls, finishing with a score of 101. He scored 11 sixes and four fours in his innings to score a quick century, making it one of the fastest centuries ever.

Glenn Maxwell’s recent performance on 25th October 2023 against the Netherlands in New Delhi was a record-breaking feat. He scored his century in just 40 balls, the fastest century ever scored in a World Cup. His 106 runs in 44 balls, including nine fours and eight sixes, were a testament to his power-hitting and his ability to break records, adding to the thrill and excitement of the game.

Shahid Afridi’s fastest-ever century came in just 37 balls. This came in a game against Sri Lanka in Nairobi on 4th October 1996. He reached the 100-run mark in a mere 37 balls, finishing with a score of 102. His innings included 11 sixes and six fours. What makes his performance even more interesting is that this was Shahid Afridi’s second-ever ODI game and the first one in which he batted.

Corey Anderson hit an astounding 36-ball hundred on 1st January 2014 against West Indies. This is the same game in which Jesse Ryder scored a 46-ball century. While Ryder’s century was extremely quick, Anderson did even better, breaking the record for the fastest-ever century at that point. Corey Anderson ended his innings, remaining not out, with a remarkable score of 131. He ended up with 14 sixes and six fours, making it one of the fastest centuries ever.

AB de Villiers is one of if not the best, hitters in cricket. He has had some incredible innings throughout his career, but none as good as the one he had against West Indies on 18th January 2015. He scored a hundred in just 31 balls, setting a jaw-dropping record that will be extremely hard to beat. De Villiers ended with a score of 149, including 16 sixes and nine fours. This still remains one of the most incredible hitting displays showcased by any player.
