Erling Haaland is the most obvious captaincy pick for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 4. The striker has scored seven goals in just three Premier League games and seems to be in better form than ever. He has given his owners 41 points in just three weeks without using the captain option. If you own Haaland, you simply have to keep giving the armband to him for now, at least.

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah is the next clear captaincy choice for this week. The midfielder has six goal involvements in just three games and, like Haaland, has given 41 points in just three games. While Haaland is the clear choice due to City’s dominance and Haaland’s goal-scoring abilities, some may choose to captain Mohamed Salah as he plays Nottingham Forest in the fourth week of the Fantasy Premier League and can easily haul against them.

Cole Palmer

Cole Palmer is not too far back from Haaland and Salah when it comes to goal contributions. He has five goal involvements in his first three games and has yielded a return of 25 points for his owners. Chelsea will face Bournemouth in the fourth week of the Fantasy Premier League, and it will not be too surprising if Cole Palmer wins against them.

Ollie Watkins

Ollie Watkins has only given one assist in his three games so far and has not been in the best of forms. However, he has had several chances to get on the scoresheet and will do so for Aston Villa sooner or later. Villa faces Everton in the fourth week of the Fantasy Premier League, and this will be one of the best chances Watkins gets to get going. He will try to pick up the pace this week and will likely score at least once against Everton.

Bruno Fernandes is another differential captain pick for the fourth week of the Fantasy Premier League. The midfielder has yet to provide any return to his FPL owners, but Manchester United will travel to Southampton for Gameweek 4. The Red Devils have an incredible record at the St Mary’s Stadium and will hope to continue this. If you feel like going for a complete differential this week, Bruno Fernandes can be a good pick.

Harvey Barnes has returned in two of the three Premier League Gameweeks, and it will not be surprising if he continues his streak and scores or assists against Wolves. He is owned by just 0.8% of Fantasy Premier League owners, an incredibly low percentage. If he does end up doing anything, such a high percentage differential will surely help you edge past your opponents.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (3.9% Ownership)

Jean-Philippe Mateta is owned by 3.9% of Fantasy Premier League managers. The Crystal Palace striker has yet to score this season. However, Crystal Palace have been attacking quite well this season, and the reason Mateta is on this list is that they face Leicester City in Gameweek 4, which can be quite a lucrative opportunity for the French striker to open his scoring tally for the season.

Jamie Vardy will face Jean-Philippe Mateta’s team in Gameweek 4. The two strikers will go head-to-head, and we have picked both of them as our differentials, so we hope for a very interesting game between Crystal Palace and Leicester City. Vardy is owned by just 7.2% of Fantasy Premier League owners and can serve as an incredible differential.
