Facebook To Make Its Presence In Fantasy Games Market!

Facebook is going to launch various kinds of Fantasy sports . In an announcement on Wednesday , the company has declared the launch of Fantasy games in the U.S. and Canada which will be available for Android and iOS users on the Facebook app.

The social media company has described some games as ‘simpler’ versions of the traditional fantasy sports games already available in the market, while in others, the users get the chance to make predictions related to some popular TV shows like  ‘The Bachelorette’ or ‘Survivor.’

In the series of the launch of Fantasy games, the first one is Pick & Play Sports, developed in partnership with Whistle sports. In this game, the players can collect the points if they make the predictions for the winner of the big game, top player’s score or other events that take place during the match correctly. Players can also grab bonus points by maintaining a streak of correct predictions over some days.

In the following months, several games in sports, TV and pop culture are expected to launch. The most awaited game is the Fantasy ‘Survivor’, wherein the players get to choose a set of castaways from the popular CBS TV show and include them in their fantasy team. The next one is Fantasy ‘The Bachelorette’ fans get to pick a group of men from the suitors competing for the Bachelorette’s heart and avail coins depending on their actions and events during the show. The sports-based games include MLB Home Run Picks where players form a team predicting who will hit the maximum home runs.

The fantasy games are featured with a social component that allows users to play along with their friends. Players can make their fantasy league with their friends either to compete against each other or other players, in private or public. League members can also compare the scores. A league area resembling Facebook’s private groups is also created for the users. The players can share picks, reactions and leave comments.

It is expected that Facebook’s entry in the fantasy games market can help to increase the user time on Facebook app when Facebook is facing a tight competition in the market.
