Who Are The World’s Fab Four Test Cricket Batters?

Who Are The World’s Fab Four Test Cricket Batters? : The term ‘Fab Four’ is a title given to the four best Test batters of the modern era by cricket pundits. The current Fab Four of Test cricket are Virat Kohli of India, Joe Root of England, Steve Smith of Australia, and Kane Williamson of New Zealand.

STEVE SMITH

Steve Smith is the leading run-scorer among the Fab Four in Test cricket, with a total of 31 centuries. Joe Root, an English cricketer, is one of the most prolific batsmen in Test cricket history. He holds the second-most centuries in Test cricket with 30, and he is the first member of the ‘Fab Four’ to reach 10,000 runs in Test cricket. He achieved this feat in the first Test against New Zealand at Lord’s in 2022.

JOE ROOT

Root continued his brilliant form in the first Ashes Test against Australia, scoring his 30th Test century to help England post a huge first-innings score. Root’s innings was a perfect example of the new style of cricket that England are playing, which is characterized by an aggressive and attacking approach.

VIRAT KOHLI

Virat Kohli, the former Indian test captain and one of the Fab Four, has scored a total of 28 centuries in his red-ball cricket career. His significant innings helped him earn a spot on this list.

With over 8,000 runs in red-ball cricket, he is presently the ‘Fab Four’ third-most prolific batsman. With a 226-ball 131, Steve Smith of Australia earlier matched Virat Kohli’s century total and helped his team secure a draw against India in Sydney in 2021.

Smith’s batting average of 60+ in over 90 Tests is what sets him apart from the other “Fab Four” batsmen. This consistency makes him the most reliable batsman among the group.

KANE WILLIAMSON

Kane Williamson, the former New Zealand Test captain, has scored 28 centuries in the longest format of the game. He is also the only Kiwis player to have hit five double centuries in Tests, a feat he achieved against Pakistan in December 2022.
