Mohamed Salah has scored 154 goals in the English Premier League. While almost all of his goals in the league have come while playing for Liverpool, his career in the Premier League started at Chelsea. He joined Chelsea from FC Basel in 2014 but did not have the best start to life at the club. He scored just two goals in 13 appearances in the league for Chelsea.
After he impressed at AS Roma, Liverpool decided to bring him back to the league. He became a star at the club in his very first season, breaking the record for most goals scored in a single Premier League season. Since then, Salah has scored 152 goals for the club. This brings his total tally to 154 goals in 252 appearances. Salah has a goals-per-game ratio of 0.61.

Jermain Defoe played in the English Premier League from 2001 to 2018. He scored in the Premier League for five different teams in his career. He did so for West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth, Sunderland, and Bournemouth. He scored 18 goals in 74 appearances for West Ham, 15 goals in 31 appearances for Portsmouth, 34 goals in 87 appearances for Sunderland, and four goals in 28 appearances for Bournemouth.
However, his most significant goal-scoring run in the English Premier League occurred when he represented Tottenham Hotspur. He scored 91 goals in 276 appearances for them. This takes his total Premier League goals scored to 162 goals in 496 appearances. Defoe ended his career with a goals-per-game ratio of 0.33.

Robbie Fowler played in the English Premier League between 1993 and 2008. During this time, he scored 163 goals in 379 appearances across four different clubs, ending his career with a goals-per-game ratio of 0.43. Fowler represented Liverpool, Leeds United, Manchester City, and Blackburn Rovers. His most successful period came with Liverpool. He scored 128 goals in 266 games at the club.

Thierry Henry played for only Arsenal in the Premier League. His first appearance in the league came in 1999, and his last appearance was in 2012. The French striker is regarded as one of the best strikers to ever play in the Premier League. He was a part of the Arsenal squad, which went an entire English Premier League season without losing a single game, earning the title of ‘The Invincibles’. Henry scored 175 goals in 258 games at the club, putting his goals-per-game ratio at an impressive 0.68.

Frank Lampard represented three Premier League teams throughout his Premier League career. He scored 24 goals in 148 appearances for West Ham United and six goals in 32 appearances for Manchester City. His most significant period, however, came with Chelsea. The English midfielder scored 147 goals in 429 appearances for the London-based club. Lampard is the sixth-highest goal scorer in English Premier League history. He is also the only player in the top 10 who is not a forward. While Lampard had a very low goals-per-game ratio of 0.29, it is impressive that a midfielder is so high on the list of top scorers. He scored a total of 177 goals in 609 appearances in the Premier League.

Sergio Aguero only ever played for Manchester City in his entire English Premier League career. He is regarded as one of the best Manchester City players ever. His goal in the 2011 – 12 season helped Manchester City win their first Premier League title on the last day of the season. The ‘Aguerooo’ moment is still iconic to this day. The Argentine striker played in the Premier League from 2011 to 2021. In this period, he made 275 league appearances for Manchester City and scored 184 goals. Aguero ended his Premier League career with a goals-per-game ratio of 0.67.

Jandy Cole played in the Premier League from 1993 to 2006. He played in the English Premier League for seven different teams in his career. He represented Newcastle United, Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Fulham, Manchester City, Portsmouth, and Sunderland. He scored 43 goals in 53 appearances for Newcastle United, 27 goals in 83 appearances for Blackburn Rovers, 12 goals in 31 appearances for Fulham, nine goals in 22 appearances for Manchester City, and three goals in 18 appearances for Portsmouth.
He failed to score a single goal for Sunderland in seven appearances. However, he was at his best for Manchester United. He scored 93 goals in 195 appearances for them. He scored a total of 187 goals in 414 appearances in the English Premier League. He ended his career with a goals-per-game ratio of 0.45.

Wayne Rooney is one of the three players who have scored more than 200 English Premier League goals. Rooney has played for Everton and Manchester United in the league. He started in the Everton youth team and broke into the first team in 2002. He impressed in the league at a very young age and was signed by Manchester United. Harry Kane is regarded as one of the best strikers ever. With good strength, incredible finishing, perfect positioning, and impeccable timing, the English striker has it all. The striker has played for Norwich City and Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League but has only scored for the latter. He scored 213 league goals for Spurs in 317 appearances.
Kane looked all but set to beat Alan Shearer’s record of 260 Premier League goals. However, he decided to leave the Premier League in 2023. He joined German side Bayern Munich, hoping to add some trophies to his name. He may, however, come back and try to beat Shearer’s record. Only time will tell if Kane does end up returning to the Premier League.

Alan Shearer is the top goal scorer in English Premier League history. The English striker played between 1992 and 2006. The Premier League icon played for Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United in the league. He scored 112 goals in 138 appearances for Blackburn Rovers and 148 goals in 303 appearances for Newcastle United. This takes his total goals scored to 260 in 441 appearances. Shearer ended his Premier League career with a respectable games-per-goal ratio of 0.59.
