Former England skipper Andrew Flintoff was recently taken to a hospital after he was injured in a horror car crash while shooting for an episode for BBC. He was airlifted to a hospital in Surrey on Tuesday, where he was filming for ‘Top Gear’ at the Dunsfold Park Aerodrome.
The 45-year-old was filming in icy Surrey conditions when the accident happened which saw the ex-cricketer being taken to a hospital by air ambulance. According to The Sun, Andrew Flintoff has not suffered from any “life-threatening” injuries. The former English all-rounder is reported to have driven well on the track with all health and safety measures taken into consideration for filming.
If speculations are to be believed, Andrew Flintoff was not driving at high speeds when the accident took place. Filming for the “top Gear” show has been postponed for the time being, with Flintoff’s son stating how the cricketer was “lucky to be alive” after his crash.

This is not the first time Flintoff has gotten into a car crash. This is the second accident the former cricketer was involved in while shooting for ‘Top Gear’, a sports programme, he has been hosting since 2016. In 2019, the England international was shouting, “I can’t stop,” while he lost control of a motorised trike, which was travelling at 124mph.
The England star spoke about the incident and was quoted saying, “I go to great lengths to make sure I do well in Top Gear drag races, but on this occasion, I went a few lengths too far! It will look more ridiculous than dangerous when you see it on TV.”
