The England Cricket team is set to tour Pakistan for the first time after 17 years. The Three Lions are all set to play seven T20Is against the Men in Green with the first four games set to be played in Karachi and the last three scheduled to be played in Lahore. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and England Cricket Board (ECB) took to Twitter and shared news in this highly anticipated tour.

The Three Lions tour will begin on September 20 with the last game of the tour set to be played on 2nd October. The National Stadium in Karachi will host T20Is the first four T20I which will be played on 20, 22, 23 and 25 September. Later, the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will play host to the Three Lions with the games scheduled for 28 and 30, September with the last T20I set to be played on 2nd October.
Jos Buttler’s men are set to travel directly to Australia from Pakistan for the highly anticipated ICC T20 World Cup. Following the ICC event, the English Cricket team is scheduled to return to Pakistan. They are set to play three Tests matches against Babar Azam’s men in December which will be their first Tests in Pakistan since 2005-06.
Earlier, the England Cricket Board ( ECB) had shared a three-member security-assessment team to visit Pakistan and have a look at the arrangements late month. The Three Lions’ tour to Pakistan for the first time in 17 years was confirmed only after the green light form the security-assessment team.

Zakir Khan, PCB director of international cricket was quoted in a statement saying, “We are absolutely delighted to confirm hosting England for seven T20Is in Karachi and Lahore as a curtain-raiser to a busy, entertaining and exciting season of home internationals.”
He added, “England is one of the top-ranked T20I teams and them playing the shortest format in the lead up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Pakistan will not only help the team management to finalise their preparations but will also set the tone for December’s three-Test series.”
“We demonstrated our event planning and operational skills in the highly-successful series against Australia in March-April and I am confident we will be able to replicate these when England visit us for the first time since 2005. We have been able to confirm schedule of the T20Is following a successful tour by the England and Wales Cricket Board recce team, which was pleased and satisfied with all our arrangements.” Zakir Khan mentioned.
