England Cricket Board To Host India vs Pakistan Clash?

The England and Wales Cricket Board has been rumored to present an interesting opportunity and host the India vs Pakistan clash. ECB has offered The Board of Control for Cricket in India an opportunity to play the Men in Green in the longest format of the game on a natural venue.

According to the Telegraph, ECB is eager to host Rohit Sharma led India against Babar Azam’s men in a Test Series.  However, there has been no official news or confirmation on the same so far. The Indian cricket board is yet to confirm any news on the potential upcoming match or matches.

ECB have offered to host India Vs Pakistan Test series in England as a neutral host. (Reported by Telegraph).

The Indian cricket team recently squared off against Pakistan twice in the Asia Cup 2022. While the 2011 World Cup winners won the first game, their arch rivals managed to emerge victorious in their Super 4 stage encounter. They will lock horns once again at the biggest stage in cricket with they square off at the T20 World Cup. 

 The highly awaited ICC event is  just round the corner and is scheduled to be played in Australia across seven venues. The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) which boasts the capacity to host over 1 lakh people, is set to host the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash in the tournament. Both the Asian sides will take on each other in their tournament opener on 23rd October.

Recently, the twitter account of Melbourne Cricket Stadium shared images of the preparation happening ahead of the Indo-Pak clash. The MCG account wrote, “And just like that…Cricket is loading.”

Fans have been eager to see both the teams take on each other at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) after the social media post on twitter. It sees various vehicles and machines being used to work on the ground ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup encounter.
