Navdeep Saini not only showed his class with the ball but also contributed with the bat. He picked up three wickets at an economy of 3.75 in 16 overs in the first innings. He also made 56 runs in 144 balls with the bat and proved to be a very good supporting partner to Musheer Khan when others were losing their wickets very easily. It is quite late in Saini’s career to be blooming now, but given his performances in the Duleep Trophy, you cannot rule out a late comeback in his career.
