DSport partners with MyTeam11 for Pakistan Super League

After MyTeam11’s partnership with Pro Volleyball League as its official fantasy partner a few days ago, they have gone on and announced another partnership, this time with the Discovery TV Network’s sports channel DSport for Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The partnership means MyTeam11 will now be among numerous other brands as broadcast partners for the 4^th edition of Pakistan Super League. PSL will be telecasted live on DSport India from tomorrow i.e. 14^th February to 17^th March 2019.

MyTeam11 was also the co-presenting partner for Bangladesh Premier League this year. About the partnership, DSport channel management partner LexSportel’s MD RC Venkateish said, “Fantasy Sports is a necessity for any sport and league to grow as it’s natural extension for the fans to stay engaged to their favourite sport even after the live action is over. MyTeam11 with their recent associations has only showcased the growing interest and increasing fan engagement in Fantasy Cricket and hence it was but natural for us to get them on board as the Broadcast Partners for the Pakistan Super League.”

Coming to PSL, the event will be played across six cities from United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. The season will open with defending champions Islamabad United pitted against Lahore Qalandars tomorrow in Dubai. Other cities where PSL matches will be played out are Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Karachi and Lahore.

MyTeam11’s COO Sanjit Sihag also weighed in on the partnership saying, “We are aiming at achieving international presence as a leading fantasy sports organisation thus, the said collaborations. We believe our partnership with PSL can reap both the series and us, great results in terms of fan engagement.”

The other main man behind the fantasy sports company, MyTeam11’s CEO Vinit Godara also weighed in on the partnership saying, “With MyTeam11 being popular concept among sports fans, we believe that this broadcasting partnership with DSport for PSL can highly affect the popularity and fan base of the series. The players who will be participating in the tournament have a huge fan base in India and we are confident that the Indian fans will have a lot to look out for the future from the Pakistan Super League.”

Recently, a couple new fantasy sites like MyCircle11 and KhelChamps made their way into the industry, which currently sees Dream11 on the throne by an overwhelming margin. With established companies like Paytm also wanting to enter in the fantasy sports sector, the industry is going to explode even further.
