Dream11 teams up with Big Bash League

Dream11 is the touchstone of the Indian fantasy sports industry, having grown steadily over the years, breaking barriers in the scene. They offer a variety of games on their platform, having been partnered with professional sporting leagues such as Hero CPL (cricket), Hero ISL (football), and National Basketball Association (NBA).

Just recently they have signed a deal with International Hockey Federation (FIH) to offer hockey games on their platform too. Dream11 also features kabbadi games on its platform, having studied the Indian masses beforehand.

In a recent addition to their site, they have struck a 3-year partnership agreement with KFC Big Bash League (BBL), Australia’s professional Twenty20 league launched in 2011 by Cricket Australia, the governing body of professional and amateur cricket in Australia.

According to the agreement, Dream11 has now earned the title of ‘Official Game Partner’ of rebel Women BBL (WBBL) and KFC BBL till 2021. Dream11 and BBL’s new association kick-started with Women BBL matches.

BBL’s eighth season (2018-19) is underway and earlier yesterday, Hobart Hurricanes beat Melbourne Stars by 6 wickets. Cricket fanatics, which our country has plenty of, will now be able to select their favourite fantasy cricket teams during KFC BBL and WBBL and scores of each user will be compared to the actual scores on field and that will decide the fate of the player, which is how fantasy sports works.

Harsh Jain, CEO of Dream11, commented on the news saying, “With over 800 million cricket fans and 50 million fantasy cricket users, India has become the largest fantasy sports market in the world. We are very excited to partner with BBL, one of the premier T20 cricket leagues in the world.”

This partnership comes after Dream11 signed a 5-year exclusive partnership with International Cricket Council (ICC) till 2023. This includes all ICC global events as well as T20, World Cup and test matches. Dream11 is at the top of the summit of fantasy sports and cricket is the major contributor for its massive success in India. They also have MS Dhoni as their brand ambassador and the company is going full steam ahead with its exciting expansion plans.
