Dele Alli is an English professional footballer who currently plays for Serie A side Como. The midfielder was regarded as one of the best-rising talents while playing in England, and while he did decently well, most people believe that he never really unlocked his true potential and could have had a much better career than he really did. He is just 28 years old, but given his career path, it appears that the peak of his career is behind him. This article talks about Dele Alli’s net worth and the salary he earns while playing for Como.
Dele Alli started his career by joining the youth academy of City Colts. He moved to the Milton Keynes Dons (MK Dons) in 2007 and spent a good amount of time playing for their youth team, honing his skills as a footballer while rising through the ranks. It was while playing for MK Dons that Alli got the opportunity to make his professional debut. He was given the chance to make his senior debut on 2nd November 2012 when he came on as a 64th-minute substitute for Jay O’Shea in a 0-0 draw with Southern Football League club Cambridge City in the FA Cup first round at Milton Road.
The English star ended up representing the first team of MK Dons in three seasons, making a total of 84 appearances for them across all competitions. While he made his debut in the 2012/13 season, it was in the 2013/14 and 14/15 season that he became a regular starter at the club. Dele Alli’s performances caught the attention of some of the top clubs in the world, and it was the English side, Tottenham Hotspur, that decided to make the first move. They decided to act quickly, given the high interest in the player, and signed him mid-season itself, securing his services after reaching an agreement with Milton Keynes Dons on 2nd February 2015.

Delle Alli joined Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window of the 2014/15 season but was loaned back to MK Dons for the remainder of the season. He played for Milton Keynes Dons for the remainder of the season before joining Tottenham Hotspur. He made his debut for the club on 8th August 2015, coming on as a substitute against Manchester United in the Premier League. He soon started impressing with the club and got a lot of media attention, with the English press naming him as one of the brightest talents in the country.

Alli started out well at the club, but while he was a regular starter at first, he started playing fewer games as managers started losing faith in his talent. He ended up representing Tottenham Hotspur in seven seasons and made a total of 269 appearances for them across all competitions. It was in the January transfer window of the 2021/22 season that the club decided to part ways with Dele Alli. The English star ended up moving to Premier League side Everton on 31st January 2022. However, he was sent on loan just six months after joining Everton, this time joining Besiktas on a season-long loan.
A mixture of injuries and lack of faith by the manager saw Dele Alli not participate in even one game in the 2023/24 season. His contract with Everton expired in June 2024, but he continued to train at the club while rehabilitating with the medical staff. He was offered a contract by Serie A side Como on 19th January 2025, which will see him play football again. This becomes the latest of the many professional contracts Alli has received throughout his career. It is with the help of such lucrative professional contracts that Dele Alli has managed to accumulate a net worth of approximately $35 Million.

Dele Alli signed his latest professional contract with Serie A side Como on 19th January 2025. This is an 18-month contract that will keep the English star at the club till the summer of 2027. The club also has the option to extend his contract by 12 months further if they find Alli’s performance to be up to the mark. While the details of his contract, including his salary at the club, have not been released, it is unlikely that Alli would have been offered a very lucrative contract after being sidelined for so long. However, a professional contract will help boost his net worth even further in the future.
While Dele Alli’s career has had its ups and downs, his determination to overcome obstacles and continue playing at a high level is commendable. As he embarks on this new chapter with Como, he aims to reclaim his status as one of the top midfielders in football. Alli’s journey serves as a reminder that resilience and hard work can lead to redemption, inspiring young footballers to persevere through challenges in pursuit of their dreams. He has been unlucky with injuries throughout his career, but he hopes to forget all that while playing for Como and prove to the world that he still has what is needed to play for the top teams in the world.
