WI icon Chris Gayle sits second on the list having scored 9 half centuries in the tournament history. It is also worth noting that no batsman has more fifty-plus scores in the tournament since Kohli’s debut.

With an incredible average of 76.81 in the tournament, Virat Kohli surely brings out his best at the biggest stage. The 33 year old also needs just 171 runs in the T20 World Cup 2022 to be the highest scorer in tournament history. Given the form Kohli has shown in the recent past, it remains interesting to see how he fares down under. 

It is quite clear that Kohli love to play in Australia, no matter what the format is as well as in the ICC T20 World Cup.
