Indian Premier League (IPL) side Chennai Super Kings has been rumored to be on opposite ends with one of the biggest stars, Ravindra Jadeja. The CSK management had an alleged fallout with the Indian all-rounder since the start of IPL 2022.
Citing the tension between Jadeja and CSK, the star player was rumored to change alliances and switch teams. The 4 time IPL champions were also rumored to either trade him away to another team or even release Ravindra Jadeja. Various reports also claimed that Chennai Super Kings would trade Jadeja with new IPL franchise Gujarat Titans for their young opener Shubman Gill.
However, according to reports from Cricbuzz, Both the IPL teams have denied the trade-off and will not swap their players. Jadeja was also rumored to gather interest for various teams with the likes of Delhi Capitals being one of the franchises that reportedly inquired about trading Ravindra Jadeja. The CSK management has finally broken their silence on the situation with the franchise having no plans to part way with the all-rounder.

It is also being reported that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to hold the IPL auction for the upcoming season this year itself. The IPL 2023 mini auction is expected to take place on 16th December as per the informal conversations that have taken place between the IPL authorities and the franchises.

Further details on IPL 2023 mini auction are expected to be revealed soon while the tentative dates for IPL 2023 likely to see the tournament kick off in the fourth week of March. Recently, Sourav Ganguly had written a letter to all the state associations regarding IPL 2023 and revealed how the tournament will return to the home and away format for the upcoming season.
Earlier, the last three seasons of IPLs were played across a lesser number of venues citing the Covid-19 across the world. While the 2020 edition was played across UAE, the 2021 season was played in Mumbai and Pune only. More details on the same is expected to be revealed next month when the BCCI meet for the Annual General Meeting.
