England speedster Chris Jordan has shared his thoughts ahead of his team’s historic trip to Pakistan. The 33-year-old pacer has stated that the Three Lions tour to the country for the first time in 17 years will help in bringing the nation back to normal.
Jordan has been named in England’s 15-man World Cup team but will miss the tour to Pakistan due to a fractured middle finger. He won’t be a part of the Jos Buttler-led team which is all set to arrive in Karachi on Thursday. England is all set to play Babar Azam’s men in seven T20Is starting on 20th September with the last clash scheduled for 2nd October.
The National Stadium in Karachi has been named as the host for the first four matches with the remaining game scheduled to be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Later on, the English cricket team will revisit Pakistan once again for a three match Test series scheduled to be played in December.
Earlier, only 2 foreign athletes have visited Lahore since 2009 after the Sri Lankan cricket team was ambushed by terrorists in a bus.The security concerns led to players not wanting to visit the country before Chris Jordan decided to travel and represent Peshawar Zalmi in 2017 alongside fellow countrymen Dawid Malan.
Speaking about his experience of the country Jordan said, ‘Pakistan is a part of the world cricket fraternity and they should be able to see their favourite players. The guys will have a great time. The wickets should be good and it should make for good cricket.’
Speaking to Sportsmail, The England star added, ‘I really enjoyed my time in Pakistan. The people are amazing. We were well looked after from the security point of view and we were made to feel safe. You’re always pleasantly surprised by the reception you receive there.”

It is also being reported that bullet-proof buses have arrived at the National Stadium in Karachi which will be used for the England’s squad travel and stay in the city.
