This wasn’t the usual crash, boom, bang innings from Gayle, but an innings that he paced perfectly, and he can very well call this one of his best T20 innings!

There usually isn’t much to say about a chase when you’re set a target of 194. Shikhar Dhawan would’ve been vital if SRH had to chase this down but he was hit on the elbow off his first delivery, went off the field and never came back. Captain Kane Williamson tried his best in a knock of 54(41) while Manish Pandey hit 57(42)*, but the innings slowly faded away, losing wickets at regular intervals. KXIP won by 15 runs.
