India’s second T20I clash during their ongoing 5 match series against West Indies has been postponed by two hours due to “significant delays in crucial team luggage arriving into St Kitts from Trinidad.” The delayed game will be played at Warner Park in St Kitts, on 1st August as scheduled earlier.
Both the teams were set to see the game kick off at 10.30am local time. However, the 2nd T20I is now expected to start at 12.30pm local time. Cricket West Indies (CWI) released a statement announcing the delay of the 2nd T20I. It read, “Due to circumstances beyond CWI’s control, there have been significant delays in crucial team luggage arriving into St Kitts from Trinidad. As a result, today’s 2nd Goldmedal T20 Cup match is due to start at 12:30 pm (11:30am Jamaica/10pm India). CWI regrets any inconvenience caused to our valued fans, sponsors, broadcast partners and all other stakeholders.”

The Men in Blue played the first game at Trinidad where they registered a massive 68 run win owing to an all-round performance by the team. India’s all format captain Rohit Sharma topped the scoring charts for the visitors as the opener hit 64 in 44 balls after being asked to bat.
Dinesh Karthik has been establishing himself as a specialist finisher in the shortest format of the game. The veteran wicket keeper remained not out on 41, while getting to the score in just 19 balls helping India post a competitive total of 190 on board.
