Brandon Fernandes is an Indian professional footballer who plays for FC Goa. He plays the role of an attacking midfielder for both club and country. He has represented the Indian Football Team since 2019. The midfielder has made 138 appearances at the club level and 22 appearances at the international level. This article talks about how much Brandon Fernandes earns at FC Goa and his net worth.
The Indian midfielder has been playing professional football since 2013. He made his professional debut for ASD Cape Town. While at ASD Cape Town, Fernandes had many top European clubs showing interest in him. During his time at the club, he trialled with Leicester City, Reading, Sunderland, and St Mirren. He also had a trial with AS Monaco lined up but had to cancel it as he picked up an injury at St Mirren.
He left ASD Cape Town and joined I-League 2 side Sporting Goa in 2015. His stint with Sporting Goa was incredibly short, and he left after making just nine appearances for them. His performances at Sporting Goa caught the attention of the newly formed Indian Super League (ISL) side Mumbai City FC. They selected Brandon Fernandes in the first round of the 2015 draft for ₹12 Lakh.
Fernandes’ time with Mumbai City FC did not go exactly as he had planned. In his first start of the season and just a second appearance overall, the player picked up an injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the season. In January 2016, he joined I-League side Mohun Bagan on loan. He scored his first goal for the club against his former team, Sporting Goa. However, almost immediately after scoring, Brandon Fernandes picked up a knee injury and required surgery.

After being out due to injury for the majority of the last two years, Fernandes was determined to come back strong. He joined I-League club Churchill Brothers for the 2016-17 season. This time, the Indian star avoided injury and had quite an active season, given his experiences in the last two years. He made 15 appearances for the club in the league and scored three goals and got seven assists.
Impressed by Brandon Fernandes’ form in the I-League, FC Goa decided to draft him for the 2017-18 Indian Super League season. This cost the club ₹27.5 Lakh. He has been with FC Goa ever since then. He has made 96 appearances for the club, much more than he managed at any other club throughout his career. Fernandes’ latest contract with FC Goa came in April 2021. He signed a new three-year contract, keeping him at the club till 2024.
Throughout his career, Fernandes has received many lucrative professional contracts from various clubs. These contracts, along with his brand deals and other investments, are the most significant means for the Indian midfielder to earn money. While his exact net worth is not public knowledge as of now, these contracts and brand endorsements have surely helped boost his net worth by a huge margin.

Fernandes has been playing for India Super League side FC Goa since 2017. His latest contract with the club keeps him there until 2024. To ward off approaches from other clubs and keep Fernandes at the club, FC Goa made him the highest-earning Indian player at the club. The Indian midfielder earns over ₹1.3 Crore per year at FC Goa. The only player who earns a higher wage at the club is Spanish star Edu Bedia.
Fernandes has been injury-ridden for a big part of his career, but he has always been employed by some club or the other. His injury problems seem to have gone away for now, and therefore, FC Goa rewarded him with a huge three-year contract in 2021. His wage comes up to approximately ₹1.3 Crore a year, which makes him one of the highest-paid Indian players in the league.
