Bangladesh’s hope of registering a massive upset against India in T20 World Cup 2022 came falling down after the Asian outfit suffered a narrow 5-wicket loss to the Men in Blue on 2nd November at the Adelaide Oval. The Tigers earlier found themselves to be in a winning position sitting at 66/0 at the end of 7 overs before rain interrupted the play.
Chasing a target of 185, Bangladesh were 17 runs ahead on the DLS method when it started pouring down in Adelaide and were favourites to watch away with 2 points if the match was not stopped. However, things changed quite quickly after the break as India went into the match once it resumed.
India managed to emerge victorious, resulting in many fans questioning ICC whether the match should have been restarted, citing the conditions were not right for players. The Twitterati claimed India to cheat their way into a win against their neighbours. Here are some reactions of the fans after the Men in Blue beat Bangladesh.

Why has ICC allowed to resume crucial match between India and Bangladesh on a wet outfield? Why didn’t umpires allowed groundsmen to dry the outfield? Why umpires wanted the outfield to become heavier? Why umpires didn’t wanted overs to cut? We all know the reasons! #T20WorldCup

Earlier in the game, Virat Kohli questioned the umpire on Hasan Mahmud bowling two bouncers in his over. After a brief discussion between the match officials, Shakib Al Hasan and Virat Kohli, Erasmus signaled a no-ball. It also led to the Bangladesh skipper expressing disappointment with fans accusing Kohli of cheating and demanding a No ball from the match officials.
This is the second time Virat Kohli has demanded a no ball in this tournament and the umpires have obliged. Shakib isn’t happy! #T20WorldCup
