Flower, on the other hand, also expressed his delight upon signing for the new team. The Gulf Giants have quoted the former Zimbabwe star saying, “I am very proud to be associated with the Adani Group, particularly Adani Sportsline. Most people are aware of the company’s power, size and reach in general, and it’s wonderful to see their commitment to sports. “
He added, “The Adani Group is also very proud of its support for Indian Olympic sports. It’s exciting to be a part of any of the big franchise tournaments, and the ILT20 has big plans to be a major franchise tournament. As leaders, our job is to serve the players as best we can, and this principle is very important to me.”

The first season of the ILT20 was expected to be held in second half of 2022. However, the tournament had to be postponed until early next year. The UAE-based International League T20 is now scheduled to be played during January 6 to February 12 in 2023.
The change in timing will cause a massive impact on players’ availability as various other T20I leagues will be active around the globe. Tournaments likes the Big Bash League, the BPL as well as South Africa’s new upcoming T20 league are all set to be played in the same window. It should also be noted that Pakistanis’ PSL is rumored to kickstart mere days after the final match of ILT20.
