9. 80 Against West Indies (11/02/2022)

Shreyas Iyer scored one of his highest-ever scores against the West Indies on 11th February 2022. India batted first and while Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, and Virat Kohli, all failed, Shreyas Iyer stepped in an put in a fantastic performance. He scored 80 runs in 111 balls at a strike rate of 72.1 to help stabilise the inning and help India set a target of 266 for the West Indies to try and chase down. India ended up bowling West Indies out for just 169 runs and won the game by a margin of 96 runs.

9. 80 Against New Zealand (25/11/2022)

Another one of Shreyas Iyer’s spectacular performances came on 25th November 2022 against New Zealand. Once again, India batted first, and Shreyas Iyer stepped in at number three in a situation where India was already in a comfortable position. Iyer scored 80 runs in 76 balls at a strike rate of 105.3 to help the Indian cricket team set a target of 307 for the New Zealand cricket team to chase down. While the Indian team tried to defend this score valiantly, good performances by Kane Williamson and Tom Latham saw New Zealand chase the score down in 47.1 overs, and India ended up losing the game.

7. 82 Against Bangladesh (07/12/2022)

The game between the Indian cricket team and the Bangladesh cricket team on 7th December 2022 saw Shreyas Iyer play a fantastic innings. Bangladesh batted first, and good performances by Mahmudullah (77 runs in 96 balls) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (100 runs in 83 balls) saw Bangladesh set a target of 272 for India to try and chase down. Shreyas Iyer had another brilliant performance in an ODI game against Sri Lanka on 2nd November 2023. India batted first, and while Rohit Sharma lost his wicket very cheaply, Shubman stepped in at number three to build a formidable partnership with Virat Kohli. After this partnership, Shreyas Iyer came and scored 82 runs in 56 balls at a strike rate of 146.4 to help India finish well and set a huge target of 358 for Sri Lanka to try and chase down. Sri Lanka decided to go hard after India, but India’s bowling was incredible, and they bowled Sri Lanka out for just 55 runs, winning the game by a huge margin of 302 runs.

The game between India and Sri Lanka on 13th December 2017 saw Shreyas Iyer put in another one of his trademark performances. India batted first, and while Rohit Sharma was clearly the star of the show (208 runs in 153 balls), Shreyas Iyer managed to shine as well. He scored 88 runs in 70 balls at a strike rate of 125.7 to support Rohit Sharma and help the Indian cricket team set a huge target of 393 for Sri Lanka to try and chase down. Sri Lanka tried valiantly to chase this score down, and while Angelo Matthews scored 111 runs, Sri Lanka could only score 251 runs and ended up losing by a margin of 141 runs.

5. 103 Against New Zealand (05/02/2022)

Shreyas Iyer had one of his best-ever One Day International (ODI) performances against New Zealand on 5th February 2022. India batted first and while Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal did not to doo well, Shreyas Iyer ended up putting in a fantastic inning at number three. He scored 103 runs in 107 balls at a strike rate of 96.3 to help India reach a score of 347 in 50 overs. While India did manage to set quite a formidable target thanks to Shreyas Iyer, New Zealand managed to navigate the game really well and chased the target down in 48.1 overs to win the game with 11 balls remaining and with four wickets in hand.

The Indian cricket team faced the New Zealand cricket team in a One-Day International (ODI) match on 15th November 2023. India batted first, and Shreyas Iyer had a brilliant showing, scoring 105 runs in 70 balls at a strike rate of 150. He formed a really formidable partnership with Virat Kohli, and together, they managed to help India set a target of 398 for the New Zealand cricket team to try to chase down. New Zealand fought well and tried to chase this score down, but India managed to bowl them out for 327 runs and won the game by a margin of 70 runs.

Shreyas Iyer scored his third-highest score on 24th September 2023 against the Australian cricket team. While Indian openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill, both struggled, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer formed a formidable partnership. Shreyas Iyer’s highest-ever score came against the Netherlands cricket team on 12th November 2023. The Indian cricket team batted first, and all five of the Indian top order played well. Rohit Sharma (61 runs), Shubman Gill (51 runs), Virat Kohli (51 runs), and KL Rahul (102 runs) all played well. However, Shreyas Iyer was the star of the show.
