The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 will take place from 19th February to 9th March 2025. The hosts for this tournament are Pakistan (three venues) and Dubai (one venue). There are a total of eight participants, with the top eight teams in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 being allowed to participate in this competition. This is a very prestigious tournament, and all the participating teams will want to get their hands on the trophy and prove that they are the best team in the One Day International (ODI) format. What Teams Will Qualify For The Champions Trophy Semis?

Group A

India

India will go into the ICC Champion’s Trophy 2025 competition as one of the favourites to win the tournament. The Indian cricket team managed to get their hands on the 2024 T20 World Cup but will be hungry to get their hands on a trophy in the 50-over format after missing out on the 2023 Cricket World Cup final. Only time will tell whether they end up lifting the trophy or not, but one thing seems to be certain, i.e., the fact that India will get out of Group A and play in the semi-final of the Champions Trophy.

Pakistan

As luck has it, the Pakistan cricket team has been drawn into the same group as the Indian cricket team. This means that the fierce rivals will face each other regardless of whether they can both make it out of the group stage. While Group A has strong teams like India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand in it, we feel that Pakistan will definitely end up making it to the semi-finals, given that they have the home advantage. The Pakistan cricket team will be comfortable playing at home and will know the conditions perfectly, giving them a big edge.

Group B

Australia

The Australian cricket team is one of the most dominant sides in the world right now and managed to get the better of the Indian cricket team in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup final. They are an extremely winning-oriented team that is always hungry and looking towards their next win. They have an impeccable mindset, that of a winner. They will go into the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 once again, being one of the favourites to lift the trophy. While they have quite a tough group, we think that they will definitely end up topping the group and qualify for the semi-final with ease.

South Africa

Group B of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 seems to be the tougher of the lot, with stiff competition being present. Afghanistan, Australia, England, and South Africa have all been placed into Group B, which means there will be a rabid race to see which two teams manage to get out of the group stages. While we feel that Australia will definitely qualify, any one of the other three could end up being the second team to qualify. However, we feel that South Africa has the most chance of making it out of the group stage. It was close between the other teams, but given recent form, South Africa seems to be the best choice.
