Bhuvneshwar Kumar put on a spectacular show when Sunrisers Hyderabad went up against the Punjab Kings on 17th April 2022 at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Punjab Kings batted but struggled to put a decent target on the board due to the exceptional bowling by Bhuvi. The Indian pacer picked up conceded just 22 runs while picking up three wickets, including those of Shikhar Dhawan, Liam Livingstone, and Shahrukh Khan. The Punjab Kings managed to score just 151 runs in their 20 overs, a target which the Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down in 18.5 overs at the loss of just three wickets.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar put in another brilliant performance on 12th April 2017, this time against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium. Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and managed to put up a total of 158. This was quite a low target, especially for a ground like Wankhede, but Bhuvneshwar Kumar was not going to go down without a fight. He picked up three wickets and conceded just 21 runs in his four overs. However, this was not enough, and Mumbai Indians ended up chasing the score down in 18.5 overs.

The Indian pacer produced some of his best-ever bowling when he faced the Kolkata Knight Riders on 15th April 2017. KKR batted first but was able to score only 172 runs thanks to a terrific performance by Bhuvi, who conceded just 20 runs while picking up the wickets of Sunil Narine, Manish Pandey, and Colin de Grandhomme. However, Kolkata Knight Riders were only able to score 155 runs in 20 overs and ended up losing the game by a margin of 17 runs.
The game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab, which took place on 2nd April 2014 in Sharjah, saw Bhuvi put in another one of his classic performances. Kings XI Punjab batted first, and Bhuvi picked the wickets of David Miller, George Bailey, and Mitchell Johnson while conceding just 19 runs. However, the Kings XI Punjab still managed to score 193 runs, and this turned out to be too much for SRH, who could make just 121 runs before being bowled out.
The game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders, which took place on 25th May 2016 in Delhi, saw Bhuvneshwar Kumar shine. SRH batted first and scored 162 runs. It looked like KKR would be able to chase this down, but Bhuvi had other ideas. The Indian bowler managed to pick up the wickets of Manish Pandey, Rajagopal Sathish, and Jason Holder while conceding just 19 runs. This helped SRH restrict KKR to just 140 runs and win the game.

While most of this list speaks about Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s performances for Sunrisers Hyderabad, one of his brilliant spells came against SRH. This came on 17th April 2013 while representing the Pune Warriors India. SRH batted first, and Bhuvi picked up three wickets while conceding just 18 runs to help restrict SRH to a total of just 119. However, PWI was unable to chase even such a small target and ended up losing the game by 11 runs.

The game between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Gujarat Lions, which took place on 21st April 2016, saw Bhuvneshwar Kumar put in a brilliant shift. GL batted first but was restricted to a very low total of 135 due to the efforts of the Indian pacer. Bhuvi picked up the wickets of Aaron Finch, Suresh Raina, Akshdeep Nath, and Dale Steyn while conceding just 29 runs. SRH was able to chase down this low total in just 14.5 overs without losing a single wicket, and they won the game by 10 wickets with 31 balls to spare.
The second four-wicket haul that Bhuvneshwar Kumar has managed in his IPL career came against the Rajasthan Royals on 8th May 2014. Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and could only manage to set a low target of 135 for RR to chase down. While it would be nearly impossible to protect such a low score, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was not ready to give up. He picked up the wickets of Ajinkya Rahane, Rajat Bhatia, James Faulkner, and Kane Richardson while conceding just 14 runs to bowl RR out for just 102 runs and help SRH win the game by a margin of 32 runs.
The fifer Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up against the Gujarat Titans is the Indian pacer’s second-best bowling figure in his IPL career. GT batted first, and Bhuvi conceded just 30 runs in his four overs while picking up the wickets of Wriddhiman Saha, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Mohammed Shami. Despite his efforts, GT managed to reach a very high total of 188. This turned out to be too much for RCB to handle, and they ended up being restricted to just 154 runs, losing the game by 34 runs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s first-ever IPL fifer still remains the best-ever figure in his IPL career. The Indian pacer achieved this feat against the Kings XI Punjab on 17th April 2017. Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and managed to put up a decent total of 159 on the board. While it looked like KXIP would be able to chase this down, Bhuvneshwar Kumar put in a ridiculous performance, picking up the wickets of Hashim Amla, Glenn Maxwell, Manan Vohra, Mohit Sharma, and KC Cariappa to bowl KXIP out for 154 runs, helping SRH win the game by a narrow margin of five runs.
