Oliver Bierhoff played for the German football team from 1996 to 2002. He scored 37 goals for his country in 70 appearances, ending his career with a goals-per-game ratio of 0.53. The football star represented various clubs throughout his domestic career, with the most prominent ones being Borussia Monchengladbach, Udinese, AC Milan, and AS Monaco. He played brilliantly as a forward for every team he represented.

Michael Ballack is one of the highest goal scorers in Germany’s history despite being a midfielder. He played for them from 1999 to 2010, scoring 42 goals in 98 appearances. The football star ended his international career with a goals-per-game ratio of 0.43. Ballack played for a variety of clubs during his domestic career, including Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea.

Thomas Muller still plays domestic football, and he has represented just one club, Bayern Munich, throughout his senior football career.

6. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge – 45 Goals

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is a German legend who played forward for the German football team. He represented his country from 1976 to 1986, making 95 appearances for them while scoring 45 goals at a goals-per-game ratio of 0.47. This makes him one of the highest goal-scorers in Germany’s history. The German star represented three teams throughout his club career, including Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Servette.

4. Jurgen Klinsmann – 47 Goals

Lukas Podolski established himself as one of the best strikers in the world and only retired from international duty in 2017.
