Easwaran made his First-Class debut for Bengal against Uttar Pradesh at Eden Gardens on 14th December 2013. Although his initial performance was modest, scoring 10 and 27 in his two innings, it laid the foundation for a solid domestic career. Over the years, Abhimanyu Easwaran transformed into a reliable top-order batter for Bengal, consistently accumulating runs and showcasing his ability to anchor the innings.
His breakthrough season came in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, where he amassed 861 runs at an average of 95.66, including three centuries and three fifties. This performance not only highlighted his potential but also earned him recognition as one of the leading batsmen in the domestic circuit.
Abhimanyu Easwaran played one of the best games of his career in October 2024 in the Irani Cup. In a game between Mumbai and the Rest of India, the Rest of India ended up bowling first. Mumbai put in a huge shift, with Sarfaraz Khan making 222 runs and remaining not out at the end of the first innings. Mumbai ended up putting up a total of 537 on the board, and it looked like the Rest of India would have a very hard time closing the gap.

It was Abhimanyu Easwaran, however, who stepped up for the Rest of India. He played an unbelievable inning, making 191 runs in 292 balls, including 16 fours and one six at a strike rate of 65.41. He looked all set to make a double century and match Sarfaraz Khan’s feat. Shams Mulani, however, had a different plan, and a sweep gone wrong on his bowling saw the ball go straight into the short fine-leg fielder Tanush Kotian’s hands.
