Bruno Fernandes showed promise from a very young age. After just one season with Novara, big European clubs like Inter Milan and Juventus wanted to sign him. However, the midfielder decided to join Udinese instead, as they promised him first-team opportunities. He spent a major chunk of his career in Udinese, playing in 95 games for them across all competitions. On 16th August 2016, Fernandes moved to Sampdoria on loan with an obligation to be signed permanently.

After just one year with Sampdoria, Fernandes moved to Portuguese club Sporting CP. He signed a five-year contract on 27th June 2017 and made his debut for the club on 6th August 2017. He stayed with the club until 2020, making a total of 137 appearances for the club across all competitions.
